This personal project is about the Central girls high school basketball team in the small mining town of Butte, Montana.
Many of the players - and cheerleaders for the girls team - are grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the immigrants who flocked to Butte during its mining heyday. 

The 2023-24 team was young with rising talent. The girls - with their fighting collaborative spirit and diverse lineage - are a symbol for Butte and its current circumstances.
